Mr. Terrance LeVelle Carroll Sr.

Mr. Terrance LaVelle Carroll, Sr., 29, of Peoria, Illinois transitioned to his heavenly home at 3:32 pm on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital surrounded by his family. Terrance was born on May 7, 1993 to Carolyn Carroll and William Melton. Terrance received his elementary education in Peoria District 150 and attended Manual Academy. There were many layers to Terrance’s character and he just couldn’t be summed up in a few words. Terrance had a great work ethic and was a hard worker. He had worked his dream job at Caterpillar, Inc. He was a landscaper and was a legendary cab driver with Big Daddy Cab Company. He loved to make people laugh. Terrance had a passion for music. He created his own music and loved all genres of music from RAP to R&B. He enjoyed creating different food dishes for his family and friends. He loved fashion, getting dressed up and sporting a fresh dreaded up hair style with his beard and edges trimmed up. Terrance was a believer; he was baptized at Kingdom of Deliverance Baptist Church. Terrance leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother, Carolyn Carroll of Peoria, IL; his father, William “Jack” Melton of Jonesboro, AR, his children, Bailey Gore, Terrance Carroll, Jr., Treasure Gore and Azariah Hogan all of Peoria, IL; his sisters, Latrina Dunigan of Peoria, IL and Rosena (Kenny) Jackson-Branch of Jonesboro, Ark; brothers, Bernard Jackson and Nicholas Jackson both of Peoria, IL and; maternal grandparents, Lillie & Jesse Williams of Peoria; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister, Latreeka Dunigan; his maternal grandfather, Louis Carroll, Sr.; paternal grandparents, WB & Mary Melton; and a special aunt, Joyce McKnight and an uncle, John Williams. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm and Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church with a visitation beginning at 12 noon. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr., will officiate.
