Ms. Ciara Domonique Jones

Ms. Ciara Domonique Jones, 32, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away 10 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Indianapolis, IN. Ciara was born on December 28, 1988 in Peoria, IL to Alesia Ann Hinton and Sidney Anthony (Jones) Wilkins in Peoria IL. She was raised under the influence of Christianity and later taught the straight truth of biblical history from her dad. She learned that she was a child of biblical royalty, one of the chosen children of the Most High. Her nationality bloodline link was of the 12 tribes of Israel, and through her father’s seed, her bloodline links to the tribe of Judah. She loved the Lord and did her best to serve Him being a woman of prayer. The family moved to Indianapolis Indiana in 2000 and resides there still. Ciara graduated from Greenwood Middle School in 2003 and was involved in a host of school activities. She was fun and loved by many of her classmates. Ciara continued on to attend Franklin High School where she graduated in 2008 and later in the summer of 2008 began her educational endeavor in attending Ivy Tech and obtained her degree as a pharmacy technician. Ciara later pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Radiology by attending Indiana University and then Purdue University in Indianapolis and was on track to graduate in May of 2020. Ciara worked at Saint Francis Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN for 15 years along with her mother with 20 years and counting. They were a pair to contend with in the medical industry of taking care of people. Most don’t know but Ciara was an artist as well, having her first piece of art work specially selected to be published in books while attending Garfield Middle School in Peoria Illinois. She also performed in the play “the Nut Cracker” and the musical play “Aida” while still in middle school. She was loved by a host of family and friends who loved and enjoyed her presence. Ciara was full of joy and laughter with a special kind of love for her Mom and Dad and her only brother Jerrell, whom she loved with all her heart! She couldn’t wait to spend time with him in Peoria. They shared many fun moments together as we all did with Ciara, but theirs was of a special kind with that cool brother and sister kind of love. Her personality was beautiful and classy with a dress code to match. Her smile and laughter were enjoyable to all who knew her. Her presence alone let you know that she was in the room and she will be deeply missed. Ciara leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother, Alesia Jones, her father, Sidney (Tonya) Jones Wilkins all of Indianapolis IN; her brother, Jerrell (Latisha) Williams of Peoria IL, her grandparents, Lorraine Hines and Larnette Bailey both of Peoria IL; her uncles Carletus (Noni) Hines of Peoria IL, Quinton (Tiffany) Hinton of Atlanta GA, Calvin (Kim) Jones of Colorado Springs, Michael (Geralene) Jones of Escondido, CA., James Jones Jr. of Peoria IL; her aunts, Stacie (Stephanie) Hinton, Marcia Jones, Rita Jones, Gloria Warr, Debra (Bishop Leroy) Davis, Anita Wilkins all of Peoria IL and Cynthia (Capri) Smith of DeKalb IL., along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Sidney T. Wilkins; her uncle, Horas Wilkins; her aunts, Ruby Gene Wilkins, Joyce Ann, Alberta Burnside and Mary V. Walker; her cousins, Jenae Jones, Nikki Jones, Angela Ivory Jones and Anthony Lynn Foster. Ciara leaves behind an explosion of memories for us all to cherish. A private funeral service celebrating Ciara's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Word of Faith Christian Center with a visitation at 10 am. Bishop Leroy Davis will officiate. Ciara will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance limits will be observed. In accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Funerals are limited to no more than 25% or less people at the church. To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. Funerals are limited to no more than 25% of the decedent’s immediate family members. *In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them). *It is our responsibility as a Funeral Directors, to do everything we can to advise families in order to honor our beloved Families and to keep everyone as safe as possible.
