Mrs. Consuelo D. Hill

Mrs. Consuelo Delaluz Hill, 79, of Peoria, IL, transitioned to her heavenly home at 3:31 am, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at her daughter’s residence. Consuelo was born on July 25, 1943 in Pekin, Illinois to Frank and Mary (Gonzalez) Santanna. She married the love her of life, Eddie Lawrence Hill in 1963. After 58 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on December 14, 2021. Consuelo was a 1961 graduate of Pekin High School. She worked at Methodist Hospital as a Unit Clerk and Receptionist for over 45 years. Consuelo was an avid bowler and was in a bowling league for many years. She liked to crochet, fish and cook. Consuelo also played darts and participated in tournaments. Consuelo leaves to cherish her most precious memory her son, Walter (Adrian) Robinson of Covington, TN; six daughters, Mary (James) Stewart of Jonesboro, GA, Jennifer (Rodney) Ivory, Tammy Hill and Kimberly (Curtis) Griffin, Jr. all of Peoria, IL, Sharon “Shell” Robinson and Rhonda “Faye” Robinson both of Covington, TN; three brothers, Mario (Debbie) Santana of Pekin, IL, Franzino (Sherry) Santana of Havanna, IL and Desi (Gloria) Santana of Kennewick, WA; two sisters, Mary Vanderveer of Cincinnati, OH and Marie (Charles) Darling of Pekin, IL; twenty eight grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Simons Mortuary Chapel with a visitation one-hour prior at 10 am. Pastor Tyson Parks, III of Bethel United Methodist Church will officiate. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com.
