Debrina “Lilly” Wilson Mrs. Debrina Joy “Lilly’ Wilson, 64, of Peoria, IL transitioned from this life to her heavenly home at 6:30 am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence. Debrina was born in Peoria, IL on November 12, 1956 to Albert Benedict and Florence Irene (Wires) Lilly, Sr. She was a 1974 graduate of Woodruff High School. Debrina was a 2010 graduate of (ICC) Illinois Central College with an Associate’s Degree in Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counseling. Debrina accepted Christ at an early age. She was a long-time member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she faithfully served as an usher and Sunday school teacher. Debrina loved to read, watch game shows and watch her grandchildren. She never met a stranger; to her everybody was her cousin. Debrina leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving husband, Sylvester Wilson of Peoria, IL; her loving children, Jennine Lilly Smith of Milwaukee, WI, Jene’a Wilson of Peoria, IL and Mario Wilson of Wassau, WI; one brother, Gerald (Helen) Lilly of Nashville, TN; six sisters, Diane Lilly of Nashville, TN, Dorene Nelson, Denise Lilly and Darlene “Mary” Lilly all of Las Vegas, NV, Dahline Lilly and Darla Lilly both of Peoria, IL; 8 grandchildren including Sherrod Swafford, Jr., of Milwaukee, WI and Terrance, Jr., of Peoria, IL; one great grandchild; and a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her Bethel United Church family. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Lilly, Albert Lilly, Jr., and Darryl “Bingo” Lilly; one sister, DeAngela Lilly. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Bethel United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Pastor Tyson T. Parks, III will officiate. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance limits will be observed. In accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the capacity of the or less. To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the decedent’s immediate family members. *In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them). *It is our responsibility as a Funeral Directors, to do everything we can to advise families in order to honor our beloved Families and to keep everyone as safe as possible.
