Mr. Keith Tyrone Donley Sr.

Mr. Keith Tyrone Donley, Sr., 52, of Peoria, IL passed away at 10 am on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Keith was born in Peoria, IL on July 5, 1968 to Willie and Virginia (Milliner) Donley. Keith loved watching sports and action movies, especially the movie Predator. He was a jokester and comedian. Keith was optimistic and was a loving and caring person. He loved cooking and would cook anything. Keith leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Willie and Virginia Donley; his significant other, Katrina Brock; three sons, Keith Donley, Jr, Chris Brock and Keon Brittine all of Peoria, IL; six daughters, Kim Donley of Springfield, IL, Daijonay Purifoy, Keitra Donley, LaMia Donley, Chautauqua Donley and Shanice Brock all of Peoria, IL; two sisters, Yvette Donley of Peoria, IL and Chandra Donley of Denver, CO; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertrude Walker and sister, Tamara Donley. A private funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Simons Mortuary Chapel with a visitation beginning at 11 am. Pastor Charles “Chuck” Brown of Victory Christian Church will officiate. Keith will be laid to rest at Historic Springdale Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance, funerals are limited to 50 family members of the decedents, not including the staff at Simons Mortuary. The chapel can socially distance and seat no more than 50 or less people. All others will be able to flow through prior to beginning of the service. To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. Funerals are limited to no more than 50 of the decedent’s immediate family members. *In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them). *It is our responsibility as a Funeral Directors, to do everything we can to advise families in order to honor our beloved Families and to keep everyone as safe as possible.
