Ms. Kesha Elaine Bolden

Kesha Elaine Bolden, 40, formerly of Peoria, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at her home in Atlanta, GA. She was born on May 13, 1974 to the late Shirley Ann (Sledge) Bolden McNair and Edward Bolden in Peoria, Illinois. She graduated from Woodruff High School with honors as the Vice President of her senior class. Later, she graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology; during that ceremony, she spoke as honored commencement speaker representing the College of Engineering as President of the Engineering Student Council. Kesha grew her career within the Accenture Technology Growth Platform. As a Manager, she specialized in program and project management. She has more than 17 years of consulting and outsourcing experience in system integration work, including global projects that spanned across North America, India and the United Kingdom. Because of her curiosity and love of adventure, she and her travel companions would travel to destinations like Egypt, Thailand, Dubai, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, & Belize. Kesha’s loving and caring spirit engulfed everyone around her. Never saddened due to illness, she loved life and fought with passion, grace and dignity. Her big smile, enchanting eyes, love and concern for others never diminished and will live on. Growing up in the church, she was a God loving Christian who was a faithful and active member of the World Changers Church International in Atlanta, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Creflo A. Dollar, Jr. Her big smile, enchanting eyes, love and concern for others will live on forever. She was preceded in death by her loving mother; grandparents, James & Tommie Ann Sledge and Laymond Bolden; and aunts Elmira Burton, Willie B. Boyce and Leora Williams. To cherish her precious memory is her father, Edward and Rose Bolden of Milwaukee, WI; grandparents, Archie and Goldie Brown of Peoria; Tiger, her precious cat; brothers, Cory & Alisha Hosea of Peoria and Brian Adams of Milwaukee, WI; her sister, Shirley Hayes of Miami, FL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, friends and her work place family, Accenture. A special thank you to be given to her loving cousin and friend Suzane Ward Parker who provided love, support and care during the last 2 years of her beautiful life. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday December 13, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 603 West Nebraska Ave, Peoria, Illinois with a visitation beginning at 9 AM. Her uncle, Pastor Charles Brown will officiate. Kesha will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery, next to her beloved mother.
