Mr. Khalil Armstrong, Sr.

Mr. Khalil Deontae Terrell Armstrong, 26, of Springfield, Missouri; formerly of Peoria, Illinois passed away at 9:28 pm on September 30, 2021 at his home in Springfield, MO. Khalil was born on September 25, 1995 in Peoria, IL to Kecia Wilson and Terry Armstrong, II. He received his early education from Peoria District 150 schools, receiving his GED from Springfield, MO. Khalil was a laid-back kind of guy, very quiet natured and always smiling. He loved his family, family events and Barbequing. He loved spending time with his son and little sisters. He enjoyed fixing cars. Khalil leaves to cherish his most precious memory his loving and devoted mother, Kecia Wilson of Peoria, IL; his son, Khalil Armstrong, Jr.; siblings, Lloyd Dotson, Markes Wilson, Shania Harris; half siblings, Terry Armstrong,III, Laterria Armstrong, Danalyn Smith-Armstrong, Ki’Terra Armstong and Latayja Armstorng; grandparents, Terry Armstrong, Sr., and Margie Armstrong; his special friends, Jerrica; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Armstrong, II; two grandmothers, Betty Wilson and Ellawean Rutherford; one grandfather, Robert Johnson; one son, Kamarion Armstrong; three brothers, Rakeem Williams, Raheem Wilson and Terrell Armstrong. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church with a gathering beginning at 1:30 pm. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr., will officiate.
