Mrs. Lillie Mae Ingram

Mrs. Lillie Mae Ingram, 84, of Peoria, Illinois, transitioned to her heavenly home at 11:34 am on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Lillie was born on January 15, 1938 in Shelby, Mississippi to Dallas and Aserlean (Davis) Sanders. She married the love of her life of 64 years, Willie Ingram, Sr. in Maud, Mississippi on December 14, 1958. Lillie attended Rosa Ford High School in Tunica, MS. She moved to Peoria, IL in 1966 and landed her first job at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Shortly after, she was employed at Proctor Hospital, where she stayed employed for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Lillie was a loving wife to Willie, a caring mother to Willie, Jr., Ronnie, Robert Earl, Alice and Alisa. She was a true woman of God and true to Peoria Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member from 1970 until her final day on earth. Lillie was a big supporter of all her grandchildren’s events. She traveled miles to watch her grandson’s basketball games. Lillie loved it when her grandchildren called her granny. She loved watching four men on YouTube: Pastor Patterson, Pastor Hubbard, Pastor Russell and Steve Harvey. Lillie loved going to church, reading the Bible, singing gospel songs and cleaning her house. Lillie was crazy about her sisters; Dorothy, Fannie and Alice; her brother, Dallas and her cousin Arthur Ford. Lillie leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted husband, Willie Ingram of Peoria, IL; two sons, Ronald Ingram of Peoria, IL and Robert (Melissa) Ingram of Aurora, CO; two daughters, Alice Ingram and Alisa Ingram both of Peoria, IL; one sister, Dorothy Swafford of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren; Cheyenne Duncan, Andreus Ingram, Kendall Davis-Ingram, Kendrick Ingram Keonna Ingram, Keonna Ingram, Keenan Ingram all of Peoria, IL, Justin Ingram, Brandon Ingram and Faith Ingram all of Aurora, CO; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Willie Ingram, Jr.; one brother, Dallas Sanders; two sisters, Alice Sanders and Fannie Whitelow; three grandchildren, Kai Walker, Quinton Ingram and Arianna Ingram. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Peoria Friendship M.B. Church, with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Rev. Dr. Claude Russell, Jr., Pastor will officiate.
