Mr. Michael Anthony Charles Johnson II

Mr. Michael Anthony Charles Johnson, II, 21, of Peoria, IL passed away at 3:05 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Michael was born on March 25, 2000 in Peoria, IL to Kimberly Purdy and Michael A.C. Johnson, I. Michael last worked as a warehouse worker. He was an involved and loving father. Michael was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church where he served in Sunday School, the Youth Choir and Jr. Laymen. He was a special big brother to his siblings. He was also a dog dad to his fur children, Laila and Lucci. Michael leaves to cherish his most precious memories his parents, Kimberly Purdy and Michael A.C. Johnson, I both of Peoria, IL; his son, Michael “Mac” Johnson, III; his fiancé’ Keytreona Lee; two brothers, Jaedin Durham and Reign Johnson all of Peoria, IL; four sisters, Hevyn Johnson and Raven Johnson both of Peoria, IL; Sophia Johnson of Creve Coeur, IL and Angel Purdy of Pekin, IL; grandparents, Betty Hale, Scott Manisini and Ray Hunt all of Pekin, IL, Diane Grimes, Alfred and Regina Thompson all of Peoria, IL; his great grandfather, Bill Purdy of Pekin, IL; and a host other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Thelma Lobdell and Annie Pearl Thompson. Michael was an organ donor and through this blessing he saved 4 individuals lives. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at New Morning Star M. B. Church with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at 11 AM. The Host Pastor is Rev. Cleveland Thomas, Sr. Rev. Claude L. White, Jr., his Pastor of Grace Baptist Church will officiate and his uncle, Rev. Jonathan Grimes, Pastor of Lovelight International Ministries, of Huntsville, AL, will bring the eulogy. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
