Mr. Michael Anthony Pollard

Mr. Michael Anthony Pollard, 64, of Peoria, IL transitioned to his heavenly home at 1:39 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Michael was born on April 13, 1959 to Minnie Burns and Edward Jackson, II. His early education was at McKinley Grade School and Roosevelt Middle School. He was a 1977 graduate of Peoria Central High School where he was a member of the Intramural Basketball Team. Michael formerly worked at Caterpillar, Mapleton prior to moving to Irving, TX where he worked in a university security detail. He later moved back to Peoria, IL and worked with and retired from Comcast as a cable network installer after 20 years of service. Michael worked part-time for Personal Touch Cleaning Solutions. Michael loved bowling. He was a member of Town and Country Bowl and Landmark bowling leagues. He also helped with the TNBA Youth Bowling Program. Michael was also an outdoorsman; his passion was fishing and camping. Michael and his mother played a special board game every week called Sequence where he always posted his winning results on Facebook. Michael leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving and devoted mother, Minnie Smith of Peoria, IL; father, Edward Jackson, II; his siblings, Dwayne Pollard, Yvonne Lamb, Jennell Jackson, Lance (Felicia) Jackson, Brenda Jackson, Robin Tapley, Edward Jackson, III and Maria Coates all of Peoria, IL; favorite cousins, Troy (Rita) Burns of Peoria, IL and Ponno (Rachael) Burns of East Peoria, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved Michael. He is preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Pollard; grandparents, Ben and Molly Burns and his sister, Jennifer Wright. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Heaven’s View Christian Fellowship Church with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at 10 am. Pastor Tony Pierce will officiate.
