Mr. Paul Everett Gulley

Mr. Paul Everett Gulley, 74, of Peoria, IL passed away at 11:50 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria. Paul was born on February 20, 1947 in Peoria, IL to Paul and Dorothy (Bacon) Gulley. He was a Manual High School graduate. Paul was a US Army Veteran honorably serving his country in the Vietnam Conflict. Paul was a member of the American Legion #1151. Paul worked for IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation) as a highway maintainer, retiring after 19 years. Paul loved to barbeque on his pit master grill. Paul loved all sports. He was an outgoing person and loved to travel. Paul leaves to cherish his most precious memory his sister, Sue Guyton of Peoria, IL; his soul mate, Armingar Carroll of Peoria, IL; step mother, Margaret Gulley; two step sisters, Deborah Totton and Patricia (Lee Roy) Wallace, Jr.; one step brother, Edgar (Judy) Thomas all of Peoria, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Ulisher Thomas and Charlie Thomas, II. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Star of Hope Full Gospel Church with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Bishop Joseph Johnson will officiate. Paul will be laid to rest at Historic Springdale Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com.
