Mr. Ronald Eugene Brown, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Eugene Brown, Sr., 75, of Peoria, Illinois transitioned to his heavenly home at 10:55 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Ronald was born on April 7, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to Ellsworth and Doris (Hall) Brown. He married and shared many years of happiness with Tamara “Tammi” McKee. Ronald was tenacious in all that he endeavored to do. He was a great provider for his family working as a cable technician and proficient at many other trades. Ronald retired as the Maintenance Supervisor from the Children’s Home in 2013. Ronald’s favorite past time was fishing. Ronald leaves to cherish his most precious memory his loving and devoted wife, Tamara “Tammi” Brown of Peoria, IL; two sons, Ronald Brown, Jr. of Columbus, OH and Gerald Brown of Peoria, IL; three daughters, Anita (Jerome) Muhammad of Columbus, OH, Candace (Clayton) Scott of Pittsburg, PA and Mary Rutherford of Peoria, IL; one sister, Deborah (John) Parks of Columbus, OH; two sisters-in-law, Tiffany McKee of Peoria, IL and Linda Brown of Columbus, OH; two brothers-in-law, John P. McKee and James M. McKee both of Peoria, IL; his mother-in-law, Linda Faye McKee of Peoria, IL and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends who adored him. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Brown; three brothers, Kenneth Brown, Richard Brown and Douglas Brown, two grandsons, Trevel Robertson and TyRonn Brown and one granddaughter, Jasmine Muhammad; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Blackwell and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at St. Paul Baptist Church with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Deveraux Hubbard will officiate.
