Mr. Willie James Sanders

Mr. Willie James Sanders, 50, of St. Louis, Missouri; formerly of Peoria, Illinois passed away at 7:36 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2021 at his home. Willie, was born on January 4, 1971 in Peoria, IL to Beulah Mae Sanders and Willie Venable, Sr. He was educated in Peoria District 150 Schools. Willie was just a great guy. Willie was a fashionable dresser, from head to toe. He was a jokester, very talkative, intelligent and fun to be around. He enjoyed watching basketball. Willie leaves to cherish his most precious memory two daughters, Jahnea Sanders of Peoria, IL and Dynasty Sanders of Decatur, IL; three sons, DeMontre Sanders of Peoria, IL, Jalyn Sanders of Indianapolis, IN and A’Keal Slaughter Sanders of St. Charles, MO; three sisters, Rose Sanders of Cleveland, OH, Alfredia Sanders of Peoria, IL and Tisha Thomas of Cleveland, OH; seven brothers, Carnell Thomas, David (Tonya) Venable, Nate Venable and Willie Venable, Jr., all of Peoria, IL, Nell Venable, Frances Venable and Shawn Venable all of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren; and of host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jahvaea Sanders and one sister, Linda Faye Venable. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Simons Mortuary with a visitation at 10 am. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
