Mrs. Alice Marie LeFlore Brown
October 15, 1971 - December 10, 2021
Lady Alice Marie LeFlore-Brown, 50, of Peoria, Illinois transitioned to her heavenly home at 2:09 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Alice was born on October 15, 1971 in Chicago, IL to Lillie LeFlore and Jimmie Rhodes, Sr. She was a graduate of Fenger Academy High School and received her CNA certificate at Malcom X College in Chicago, IL. Alice married the love of her life Rev. Chuck Brown, on August 31, 2013. They had a love that was inseparable. When you saw one, you normally would see the other. She stood firmly by her husband as they worked to serve the Church and Peoria community. She would call him honey, and he would call her hon… Together they proudly combined 9 children and 5 beautiful grandchildren to form a loving family. A devout Christian and a true woman of God, she absolutely loved the Church. Alice was baptized at an early age, at Union Grove Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. Later in life, she was baptized in the Holy Ghost at Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Waukegan, Illinois. In March of 2013, Alice and her husband Pastor Chuck Brown founded Mt. Olive M.B. Church, in Peoria, Illinois. In December of 2018, the church name was changed to Victory Christian Church. Lady Brown served in many areas… overseeing the Ushers, Children’s Daycare, Women’s Ministry and Kitchen Ministry. She also served as the Financial Secretary. Lady Brown had a tremendous anointing, with the gift of prophetic utterance and the laying of hands. She was licensed by her husband to preach the Gospel on October 24, 2021 at Victory Christian Church. She had a tremendous gift of love, support and counsel to all who needed help and assistance. When you hugged her, you would feel the love of Jesus Christ. As a family leader, Lady Brown carried the mantle of love and responsibility that was passed on to her from her late Aunt Bonnie, and her Grandmother Lizzie May Leflore. She would do anything for her family. Lady Brown’s prize possession was her children, and grandbabies. There was simply no limit on what she would do for them. Lady Brown loved spending time with her husband and family, traveling, movies, holidays, dressing up fashionably fresh, and dining at Tasty Crab in Bloomington. A beautiful yet quiet woman, with a stunning smile, a warm embrace, and a spirit larger than life, Lady Brown was the epitome of a Virtuous Woman, and truly an example of Jesus Christ. Lady Brown leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved husband, her parents, brothers Henry Lamont Leflore of Peoria, Jimmie Rhodes, Jr. of Rochelle, Illinois, sisters Stephanie Leflore of Peoria, Patricia Leflore of Dallas, Texas, Nora Leflore of Chicago, Illinois, Siara and Tauj Rhodes of Rochelle, Illinois, sons Julius, Jeremiah and Alex Leflore of Peoria, Malcom Kincaid of Peoria, daughters Monique and Monisha Kincaid and Alexandra Allen of Peoria, Tehran Brown of Winchester, Virginia, Jennifer Brown of Champaign, Illinois, five grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
