Mr. Barron Adonis Knox, 20, of Peoria, IL passed away at 10:59 am on Friday, February 11, 2022. Barron, affectionately known as Biggie, was born on January 11, 2002 in Peoria, IL to Holly Nelson and Barron Knox. Barron was a 2020 graduate of Peoria Manual High School where he achieved his varsity letters in football and baseball and was a proud member of the JROTC program. While apart of the JROTC program, he aspired to enlist into the ARMY. He participated in an apprenticeship program at Caterpillar where he perfected skills in welding and machining. Barron was very smart and had an infectious smile. He was full of charisma and personality and didn’t know a stranger. Barron had a natural talent for building and rebuilding things such as motorcycles, four wheelers, bicycles, and engines. Barron was loved by so many people and will be missed dearly. Barron leaves to cherish his most precious memory his parents, Holly Nelson and Barron Knox; one daughter, Brooklyn Knox; two brothers, Milton Thornton, Jr. and Seibin Thornton; one sister, Colby Hughes; maternal grandmother, Savannah (Sterling) Davis all of Peoria, IL; paternal grandmother, Kelly Knox of Mt. Vernon, IL and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Allen Nelson and his paternal grandfather, Larry Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Morning Glory Community Church with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Rev. Marlon Young, Sr., will be the Host Pastor and Rev. Greg Washington, Pastor of United Fellowship Ministries, will officiate and bring the eulogy. Barron will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. A trust fund for Biggie’s Daughter, Brooklyn Nicole Knox is set up at PNC Bank if anyone would like to contribute to her bright future. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 26,2022 at Morning Glory Community Church with a visitation at 9 am. Host Pastor is Pastor Marlon Young. Rev. Greg Washington, .
