    Mother Beulah Marie Beavers

    September 8, 1929 - March 15, 2022

    Mother Beulah Beavers, 92, of Peoria, Illinois transitioned to her heavenly home at 10:13 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital. Beulah was born on September 8, 1929 in Harrisburg, Illinois to proud parents John Logan White, Sr., and Lydia Ann (Mays) White. Beulah’s older sister moved to Peoria, IL in 1948 after attending Southern Illinois University, so Beulah soon followed. Beulah became members of Zion Baptist Church in 1953 where she served as an usher for over 35 years. She has been a faithful member at Zion for over 63 years. Beulah was a surgical technician at Methodist Hospital, retiring in 1992 after 27 years of service. Beulah loved her family and loved spending time with them. Beulah was known for her crocheting skills. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, solving crossword puzzles and collecting. She was a doting parent and grandparent. Beulah leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted sons, William E. Beavers, Jr., and Kevin, Sr. (Tabitha) Beavers both of Peoria, IL; one sister, Edna Thomas of Peoria, IL; 7 grandchildren, David Green, Sr., Nichelle Green, Avery Green, LaTrice Claudin, Kevin Beavers, Jr., DeMarcus Minor and Kiara Beavers; 22 great grandchildren and 14 great-greatgrandchildren; her devoted friend, Joanne Tillman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Margaret Jones and Betty Trahan, 1 brother, John White, Jr. and 1 granddaughter, Velvet Beavers. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Bethel United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 10 am. The host Pastor is Rev. Tyson Parks, III. Rev. Sam Duren, Pastor of Zion Baptist Church will officiate. Beulah will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
