Mr. Daniel Jackson Brooks Jr.

May 3, 1958 - February 17, 2022

Mr. Daniel Jackson Brooks, Jr., 63, of Lincoln, IL transitioned to his heavenly home at 2:13 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital. Daniel was born in Chicago, IL on May 3, 1958 to Daniel, Sr., and Nevel Christina (Belt) Brooks. He married the love of his life, Patricia Marie Fargher. Daniel had a great work ethic. He received his cosmetology license and worked in that field for some time. He later worked at JC Penny and was a psych aid at Loretta Hospital both in Chicago. Daniel last worked as a Bus Operator for the Chicago Transit Authority. Daniel loved to play pool, watch movies and sports, listen to music and read the bible. He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls fan. Daniel loved to work out. He and his wife loved traveling together. Daniel loved his family and spending time with them. He was a faithful member of Open Arms Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Crawford. Daniel leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Brooks of Lincoln, IL; one daughter, Ashley (Mikahl Sturdivant) Brooks of Lincoln, IL; two brothers, William (Barbara) Brooks of Lincoln, IL and Edward (Cita) Brooks of Tennessee; one sister, Frances (Mark) Sanchez of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Winter Sturdivant and Holly Frye; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Open Arms Christian Fellowship Church, 813 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln, IL 62656.
