Mr. Eddie Parker Williams

Eddie Parker Williams, 71, of Peoria, IL, passed on August 26, 2015 at Heddington Oaks Care Center in West Peoria, IL. Eddie was born on May 17, 1944 in Robinsonville, MS to Percy Sr. and Alberta (Williams) Parker. Eddie is survived by his sons, Eddie Riley and Damonta Morgan of Nashville, TN; James and Randy Riley of Clarksdale, MS; his daughter, Dacia Morgan of Clarksdale, MS; his brothers, Robert "Nough" Williams of Bakersfield, CA; Willie (Joyce) Parker, Jr., of Peoria; his sisters, Georgia (Willie B.) Small of Memphis, TN; Willie Mae Turner and Joe Ann Jackson of Peoria; a very special nephew and caregiver, Anthony (Lil’Maine) Parker, great nephew, Tre’Shawn Parker whom he called “Boo Boo” of Peoria; his nieces who also lovingly took care of his needs, La’Shaundra (Davelle) Wilder, Jennie Jackson, Camille Parker and a great niece, Da’Kira White all of Peoria; Melinda Small of Memphis, TN, Clyte Burdette of Sardis, MS; nephews, Sa’Tonius (Jill) Parker of Des Moines, IA; Angelo Parker and Joey (Krista) Parker of Peoria; Dennis (Trisha) Small and Derrick Small of Memphis, TN; our only cousin, JW Redmond of Batesville, MS; and special friends, Charlie Turner and Gary Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents and a special step father, Willie Parker, Sr., who raised him from a young age. He is also preceded in death by his son; brother, cousin and our mother’s only sister, Ada Mae (Ante) Frazier. The family would like to thank the staff at Southside Manor where he lived for over 3 years including: Maxine Maxwell, Karie Schupp, Curtis Walters, Tyrone Banks and also Mr. Davis in the security department; his special friend, Lela “Nunnie” Broadnax, whom he loved for her cooking and making his favorite southern food dishes bringing them to him weekly. He attended Senior World for over 3 years, where he enjoyed playing Bingo games and winning toys and candy for his great nephew, “Boo Boo”, eating lunch, visiting with his friends and the staff who just adored him. Thank you to all the Senior World Staff, Michelle, Lori and Senior World director, Jackie. Special thanks to the head nurse, Judy, at Heddington Oaks Nursing Home facility and the staff. A thank you is also given to the Methodist Hospice team and his nurse, Mae. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Simons Mortuary Chapel with a visitation beginning one hour prior at 10 AM. Elder Juanita Duncan will officiate.
