Ms. Katrina Lynette Flowers, 52, of Peoria, IL transitioned to her heavenly home at 4:42 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Katrina was born on November 9, 1969 in Peoria, IL to Nathaniel and Joyce (Nichols) Flowers. Katrina loved to read, write music, and sing. She loved to cook and she was always fashionably dressed. She had a corky laugh, beautiful smile, and she was very cheerful. She was a free hearted person, who loved people and never met a stranger. She was thought well of all who met her. Katrina enjoyed her quiet time as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Katrina leaves to cherish her most precious memory her mother, Joyce Flowers; three brothers, Nathaniel Flowers, Ralph Flowers and Eric Flowers; one sister, Joyce Flowers Reising all of Peoria, IL; special aunt, Janet McGoy who was her care taker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandmother Mrs. Jimmie McGoy; and paternal grandmother Berdean Heady. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Simons Mortuary with a visitation beginning at 11 am. Elder Felton Beck, Jr. will officiate. Katrina will be laid to rest at Historic Springdale Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com.
