Mr. Marquise "BooBoo" Marsean Pelts

Mr. Marquise Marsean Pelts, 22, of East St. Louis, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in East St. Louis, IL. Marquise, affectionally known as “Boo Boo”, was born on March 21, 1999 in Peoria, IL to Carma Kimber and Barrett Pelts, Sr. Marquise was a 2017 Peoria Central High School graduate. He was a deep thinker and a problem solver. Marquise was also anointed and blessed; he could speak things into existence. He was very crafty with his hands. He developed a love for art as a child and he was always exploring new things. Marquise had a tight circle of family and friends with whom he loved hanging out, eating, and being his authentic self. Marquise was very kind and considerate. He loved his family, especially his mother, siblings and all things NIKE. What he valued the most was loyalty from his family and friends. Marquise leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his mother, Carma Kimber; his father, Barret Pelts, Sr.; one brother, Barret Pelts; two sisters, Shanice “Pooka” Davis and Carma “Precious” Kimber; maternal grandmother, Mary (Johnnie) Rogers; paternal grandmother, Rubbie Pelts; paternal grandfather, Greg (Lesley) Howard; bonus grandfather, Carey Henley; uncle, Alonzo (Sheryl) Kimber; girlfriend, Madeline Payne; his godmother, Yolanda Hughes; his god-sisters, Kiahna Archibald, Adrina Hughes and Amari Hughes and a host of aunts and other uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Andrew Coleman and his uncle, Francis “Frankie” Howard. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Paul Baptist Church. There will not be a visitation. Rev. Eddie Jackson of Peoria Friendship M.B. Church and Rev.
