Ms. Mary Magdeline (Anderson) Lane, 80, of Peoria, IL passed away peacefully at 8:25 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Mary was born on February 1, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Loyce, Sr. and Johanna (Harris) Anderson. Mary worked at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in housekeeping. She also worked for New York Bell, New York, NY and Caterpillar. She liked to shop and play the lottery. Mary loved playing with and taking care of the grand and great grandchildren. She was a feisty, stern, no-nonsense person, but loved her family. She had a passion for her fashion. Mary attended Riverside Community Church. Mary leaves to cherish her most precious memories one son, Kenneth (JoAnn) Anderson, Sr.; one daughter, Kimberly (Timothy Lee) Anderson; three brothers, Gerald (Barbara) Anderson, Stephen (Bertha) Anderson and Robert Anderson; two sisters, Constance J. Anderson and Julie Anderson all of Peoria, IL; 7 grandchildren, Kenneth Anderson, Jr., Jamaal Anderson, Rico Anderson, Xavier Faulkner, Antonio J. Brooks, Sr., DeMarco Scroggins, Jr. and Kaemon Anderson; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Donnell Anderson, Rev. Wendell Anderson and Loyce Anderson, Jr. and 2 sisters, Theresa Mack and Nancy Anderson Davis. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Church of the Living God Peoria with a visitation beginning one hour at 10 am. Vice Chief Bishop Leroy Smith will officiate.
