Mr. Reginald Bernard Tutt, 52, of Peoria, IL passed away at 1:33 pm on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist Hospital. Reginald was born on February 26, 1969 in Peoria, IL to Mary B. (Artis) Gulley and Edward Jackson, Sr. He married Robyn Crump on April 12, 2010 in Peoria, IL. Reginald attended Manual High School. He loved to cook and was a proud and gifted chef. Reginald had a heart of gold and was very humorous. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. Reginald loved playing basketball, dancing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Reginald leaves to cherish his most precious memories his wife, Robyn Tutt; of Peoria, IL; Mr. Edgar W. Gulley, Jr., the father who raised Reginald; one son, Courtney Trapps of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Deashe Linwood of Peoria, IL; one sister, Dianna “Vera” Tutt of Peoria, IL, three brothers, Edgar “Demond” Gulley, Elshawn Jackson and Edward Jackson, Jr., all of Peoria, IL; his biological father, Edward Jackson, Sr. of Peoria, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who adored him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary B. Gulley and one sister, Deborah Ivory. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Simons Mortuary with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor Fred Robinson of Greater Wisdom Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C. will bring words of comfort to the family. Reginald will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance limits will be observed. In accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the capacity of the or less. To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the decedent’s immediate family members. *In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them). *It is our responsibility as a Funeral Directors, to do everything we can to advise families in order to honor our beloved Families and to keep everyone as safe as possible.
