Mrs. Rhonda Lynn Sargent

Mrs. Rhonda Lynn Sargent, 47, of Peoria, IL passed away at 6:28 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Rhonda was born on October 28, 1974 in Peoria, IL to Janice Stuckey and Ronnie Coleman, Sr. She married Bennie Sargent on October 28, 2020. Rhonda was a Librarian at the Peoria Public Library. Rhonda was a cofounder of Bond by Blood Sickle Cell Awareness Organization, where she was the secretary and Social Media Director. She was well known in the Peoria community for her strength. Rhonda enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She loved travel and was a gamer. Her favorite game was Candy Crush. Rhonda graduated from Woodruff High School in 1993. She earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from I.C.C. and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Midstate College. Rhonda was a member of Sovereign Grace M.B. Church. Rhonda leaves to cherish her most precious memory her loving husband, Bennie Sargent; her mother, Janice Stuckey; one son, Avione Parks all of Peoria, IL; three daughters, Lytesha Stuckey of Farmers Branch, TX, Kanesha Booker and Davesha Stuckey both of Peoria, IL; two brothers, Ronnie Coleman, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and LaRondric Rutherford of Peoria, IL; one step daughter, Boi Sargent of Lincoln IL; two sisters, Felicia Stuckey of Atlanta, GA and Eboni Stuckey of Peoria, IL; 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Coleman, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Sovereign Church with a visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr. will officiate. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com.
