Mr. Robert Teotha Howard

Mr. Robert Teotha Howard, 70, of Peoria, IL transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Robert was born on August 19, 1950 in Memphis, TN to proud parents, Joe Willie and Amanda (Williams) Howard. Upon graduating from Manual High School, Robert made his journey to the military where he served his country as a sergeant in the US Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska until his honorable discharge in 1976. Robert was an Electronics Engineer. Over the years he worked in various capacities such as a pipe line installer and underground cable installer. Robert was well loved by his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be truly missed. Robert leaves to cherish his most precious memory his loving and devoted family which includes four sisters, Joanne (the Rev. Larry) Williams, Derotha White, Carol Rayford and Marlo (Baron) Ellis all of Peoria, IL; two brothers, DeWitt Beck, III of Danville, IL and Melvin Howard of Peoria, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Lutheran Cemetery where military rites will be rendered. Rev. Larry Williams will bring words of comfort and Rev. Willie Lee Williams will perform the committal. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance limits will be observed. In accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Funerals are limited to 10 family members of the decedents, not including the staff.
