Mr. Robert Lee Sims, Jr., 37, of Peoria, IL passed away at 12:34 am on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Robert was born on June 19, 1984 in Indianola, MS to Robert, Sr. and Hattie (Nichols) Sims. Robert was a caring and helpful person. He kept a smile on his families’ faces because he made them laugh and was such a joy to them. Robert was a great father, brother, loving son and a great uncle. He loved being around his daughter and family. He also loved to cook. Robert leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving mother, Hattie Sims; also surviving is the mother of his daughter, Joy Thompson; one daughter, Jeneica Sims; and one sister, Rebecca Nichols all of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, and one sister, ReNee Nichols. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Sovereign Grace M.B. Church with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr will officiate.
