Ms. Rose Michelle Jackson, 59, of Peoria, IL passed away at 9:27 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Rose was born on July 9, 1962 in Peoria, IL to Rev. Albert and Annie (Jackson) Jackson. Rose worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Housekeeping for 16 years. She was a Peoria Woodruff High School graduate. She was a quiet and private person who loved listening to Rhythm and Blues. Rose loved to dress up and wear bling and razzle dazzle jewels. She loved her family and being around them. Rose leaves to cherish her most precious memory her son, Maurice Jackson; four brothers, Nathan (Judy) Jackson, Johnny (Linda) Jackson, Richard (Gwendolyn) Jackson and Henry (Ruthanne) Jackson all of Peoria, IL; six sisters, Maggie Wallce of Riverdale, IL, Frances Lewis of Chandler, AZ, Rosie Leahman of Greenwood, MS, Gladis Davis of Peoria, IL, Cheryl (Frederick) Hicks-Garrett of Columbus, OH and Emma Jackson of Peoria, IL; two aunts, Rosa Barrett of Detroit, MI and Estella Jackson of Peoria, IL; one uncle, Dempsey Skinner of Haines City, FL; 1 granddaughter, Seyone’ Jones; her Goddaughter, Angel Jordan of Peoria, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, William “Grown Man” Jackson, Jimmy “Albert” Jackson, Jr., William Jackson, Robert Jackson, Eddie Jackson and Willie Frank Jackson and 3 sisters, Annie Jackson, Ruthie Davis and Elizabeth Washington. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Minister Steffan Funchess will officiate. Rose will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at SimonsMortuary.com.
