Ms. Rose “Mable” Marie Weldy, 75, of Peoria, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 6:37 am on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at her residence. Mable was born on August 3, 1942 in Peoria, Illinois to Gus Davis and Lucille (Kimbrough) Weldy. Mable was a cafeteria worker at Harrison Primary School. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching soap operas on television, listening to gospel music and family get togethers. Mable leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving son, Eric (Demetra) Weldy of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Penny Weldy and Teresa Weldy both of Peoria, IL; three grandchildren, Demario (Mentha) Weldy, Demarcus Weldy and Demarius Weldy, three great grandchildren, two nieces, Rhonda Faint and Brenda Tracy and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. She is also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Velma Jean Tracy. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Grace Apostolic Assembly with a vistation beginning at 10 am. Suffragan Bishop James Ware will officiate.
