Troy Tyrone Erving II, 10, of Peoria, IL transitioned from this life to his heavenly home at 8:15 am on Friday, November 12, 2021 at OSF. Born August 26, 2011 to Troy Erving Jr., and Ariel Ivory, Troy was loved by everyone. He was a 5th grade student at Lincoln School. Troy loved basketball; he was a comedian who loved riding his bike. Troy had gymnastic skills. He was a good big brother who was very sociable and loved people. Troy leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving and devoted family which includes 3 sisters Tasia Ivory, Rayniah Anderson, Sariyah Erving, all of Peoria, IL; 5 brothers, Troy Erving III, Trevon Erving Tristan Erving, A’mere Erving and Treshaun Erving all of Peoria, IL; paternal grandparents Virgena Hollie and Troy Hollie; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenda Cayson-Kramer and Brian Gains, great-great grandfather Pastor Jeffery Ivory Sr., and paternal great-great grandfather Troy Erving Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace MB Church, Saturday, November 20, 2021 with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM. Host Pastor is Simon Holly. Rev. Claude L. White, Jr., Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Troy will be buried at the Historic Springdale Cemetery.
