Mr. William Albert Foote, 90, of Peoria, IL passed away at 10:39 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. William, affectionately known as Buck, was born on August 14, 1930 in Myrtle, Mississippi to Zebbie and Roberta (Johnson) Foote. Buck was a great father and a hardworking man who always loved and provided for his family. Over the years he worked for Armour Packing House and retired from Wilson Packing House. William was a home body. Watching Western Movies, listening to Blues music and eating his “sweets”; especially ice cream and spending time with his family were his favorite past-times. William will be greatly missed by and leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted children; Roberta Foote, Tanya Foote, Maria “Popeye” Curley, Minister Andre (Leslie) McKnight, Willie (Judy) Albert, Tommie (Lynnette) Albert, Brenda Albert, Bertha Ferguson, Gwendolyn Albert, Bernice Ivy, Joseph Albert, Dwayne Albert, Michael (Jennifer) all of Peoria, IL and Henry Albert of St. Louis, MO; a host of grand, great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Edna Foote; his companion, Bernice Albert and 4 children, Lawrence Albert, Jeanette Gray, Charles Stucky and Ralph Wrightner and 2 sisters, Mary Foote Rutherford and Mattie D. Gray. A private funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Simons Mortuary with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at 11 am. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance, funerals are limited to 50 family members of the decedents, not including the staff at Simons Mortuary. The chapel can socially distance and seat no more than 50 or less people. All others will be able to flow through prior to beginning of the service. To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services.
