Mr. Reginald Lee Hunn, Sr., 83, of Peoria IL, passed away at 12:01 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Reginald was born August 25, 1942, in Peoria, IL to Arnold and Geraldine (Cornish) Hunn. He married the love of his life, Stephanie Allen in Peoria, IL on September 9, 1987. Reginald was the owner of Hunn Pest Control and also was a semi driver for five years, worked at Caterpillar for ten years and ADM for ten years. He loved to hunt and fish. Reginald was a great cook. He was a people person and was very well admired by other for his kindness and generosity. Reginald was a member of Peoria Friendship M.B. Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Reginald was a man who brought joy to those around him. He was known for his loving spirit, his generous heart, and his ability to make others smile. His sense of humor was one of his greatest gifts - he could lift anyone’s mood with a joke or a warm laugh, leaving lasting impressions on everyone he met. An outdoorsman at heart, Reginald found peace and happiness in nature. Whether he was enjoying the fresh air, spending time outside, or simply appreciating the beauty of the world, those moments reflected his calm and grounded soul. Reginald also had a passion for cooking. The kitchen was one of his favorite places, where he expressed his love through food. He found joy in preparing meals for others, bringing family and friends together to share not just food, but laughter and connection. One of the most cherished memories of Reginald will be the way he whistled to his grandchildren - a simple, loving gesture that brought smiles and laughter, and made them feel special and deeply loved. Above all, Reginald was a devoted father, uncle, and grandfather. His love, strength, and guidance will continue to live on in the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, warmth, and unforgettable memories. Reginald will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him. Reginald leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife of 38 years of marriage, Stephanie Hunn of Peoria, IL; seven sons, Arnold Hunn, Reggie Hunn, Jr., Lester (Lori) Hunn, Kevin Erlichman, Joshua Hunn, Derek Hunn and Aaron Hunn; six daughters, Jackie Hunn, Jodie Hollis, Courtney (Clifford) Williams, Denise (Rod) Holmes, Raven Hunn and Monica Walker; one sister, Constance (Rafael) Guardado; thirty grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Hunn, Sr., one grandson, Kenneth Hunn, Jr. and an infant granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Simons Mortuary Chapel with a gathering one half-hour prior at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Harry Williams of New Mt. Sinai M.B.
