Mr. Roger Pickett Jr.

Mr. Roger Pickett, Jr., 52, of Peoria, IL passed away at 12:08 am on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital. Roger, born June 7, 1969 in Peoria, IL, was the only child of Roger, Sr., and Janice Marie (Davis) Pickett. Roger considered himself bi-costal because at the age of 7, he and his mother moved to Oakland, CA; but always came back and forth to visit his extended family in Peoria, IL. Roger graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland, CA. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and an amazing Chef. Roger loved his family, grandchildren and cracking jokes. Roger leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving and devoted family which includes his mother, Janice Pickett of Oakland, CA; 7 daughters, Sheyanah Pickett and Shamika Pickett both of Oakland, CA, RaKiya Pickett, RaTrecha Pickett, Jadakiss Pickett, Ro’Naija Pickett all of Peoria, IL and LaRoge` Pickett of Cleveland, OH; 5 sons, Lamont Pickett of Oakland, CA, Roger Pickett, III, Raekwon Pickett, Malik Pickett and Jayland Pickett all of Peoria, IL; one sister, Erica Pickett of Los Angeles, CA; 6 grandchildren; Rashad Pickett, Armani Pickett, Rahiem Pickett, Ryleigh Pickett, Rylinn Pickett and Ryla Pickett; his girlfriend, LaShaunna Mayon of Peoria, IL; a special brother, Pizzarro Pickett of Peoria, IL and 2 bonus children, Kerry McVey and Amiyah McVey both of Peoria, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Pickett, Sr.; special aunts, Retha Jones and Yolanda Davis and a special brother, Kevin “Catfish” Ball. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ, 401 Elm Street, with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Rev. Quintin Redd, Pastor of Logos Worship Center, 4068 Parker Ave., St. Louis, MO Louis, MO, will bring words of comfort to the family. Roger, Jr., will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
